Everywhere you look across St. Johns County, construction is underway to create new shopping and dining options.
The Fountains at St. Johns, the most recent commercial development to be announced, targets residential subdivisions such as Beachwalk and Beacon Lake going up on County Road 210 to the east side of Interstate 95. It is also expected to bring in consumers from Nocatee, where the real estate market continues to boom. Nocatee has its own Town Center but the Fountains would be a more convenient drive for some residents of the sprawling development.
“There is a very underserved market here. It’s all these things, the residential growth, the widening of 210 and the interchange connection between 95 and 210,” said David Ergisi, president and CEO of Cross Regions Real Estate.
Cross Regions, based in Jacksonville, is handling all aspects of the project, including development, leasing and management.
